Blowfish tails are mild and tender with a flaky texture and a delicate light flavor. Northern blowfish is the least toxic of the blowfish species and can be eaten and enjoyed safely. Very versatile in the kitchen, blowfish tails are delicious pan-fried, grilled, and deep-fried. Or try them in your next seafood chowder.

  • Our blowfish are wild-caught in the cold Atlantic waters off the coast of Long Island, NY and delivered fresh. Not to be confused with Fugu, the toxic fish found in Japan and Korea.
  • Blowfish are often called “Chicken of the Sea” by fishermen in the Chesapeake Bay.
  • Blowfish is also known as Sea Squab, Northern Blowfish Tails, Pufferfish, Northern Puffer, Swellfish, Balloonfish, or Globefish.
