Our Black Cod, or Sablefish, is wild-caught in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska Bering Sea. Black Cod is a white, flaky fish with high oil content and satiny texture.  Sometimes referred to as butterfish, for the velvety texture and distinct mild flavor, it is a favorite among top chefs.  Made famous at the prestigious Nobu restaurant, with its delicious miso glaze.  Due to its high-fat content, Black Cod is also good on the grill, baked, broiled, or smoked, with a variety of seasonings.
