Gravlax is a gourmet selection of Atlantic Salmon that is seasoned with fresh dill to recreate the unique style of an old Scandinavian tradition. The salmon is hand selected and cured using a blend of proprietary ingredients that make it buttery, mild and slightly sweet.
The word “gravlax” comes from the Swedish word for “trench” (grav) and “salmon” (lax). Its roots come from the former practice of burying the salmon in salt in a hole in the ground.
Thinly slice Atlantic Smoked Salmon and serve it over dark bread or bagels with sliced onion and capers for a fabulous meal any time of the day. Also add it to frittatas, scrambled eggs or as a replacement to ham in Eggs Benedict. It’s a nice addition to Pasta Alfredo as well!
