Where do you source your seafood from?

From the Fulton Fish Market, which means you have access to incredibly fresh seafood from the best regulated waters in the world. Until recently, this type of access was limited to local chefs and restaurants, but now that abundance is directly available to you! You can read more about our sourcing process here.


Is my seafood sustainable?

Yes! Here at Fulton Fish Market, we believe it's extremely important that we all work towards preserving our fisheries, and don’t overtax our precious oceans. We procure sustainably caught or raised seafood, and in our curated boxes, we prioritize including wild, US-caught seafood. You can learn more about our sustainable seafood philosophy here.


How will my fish be packed & delivered?

For our fresh boxes, we purchase the best seafood available at the market that morning,  then pack it in our biodegradable and recyclable packaging, before shipping via FedEx. These shipments are packed with food safe gel packs, which keeps the seafood cold, without the risk of freezing. 

When your shipment arrives, you can cook it immediately, or store it in your refrigerator for later. You can read more on our packaging and shipping here.


How is frozen fish delivered? How do I handle dry ice?

For our frozen boxes, your order will be shipped with dry ice to ensure that it doesn't thaw in transit. Then it is packed with our normal packaging and shipped via FedEx.

Please be careful: do NOT touch dry ice with bare hands because contact could cause severe cold burns and frostbite. Instead, use thick gloves or tongs to remove the ice, and let it evaporate outside or in a well-ventilated area. Keep it away from children and pets. Do not put dry ice in tightly closed containers or down a drain.

If you do not see any dry ice remaining, then it has evaporated but that doesn't necessarily mean your shipment is unsafe. Check if your seafood is still cold to the touch, and contact us if you feel your shipment did not arrive in good condition.
