Countneck Clams - Gift

Countneck clams are the smallest of the hardshell clams with a mild, briny ocean flavor and very tender flesh. Similar to their East Coast cousins, cherrystone and topneck, but a smaller size that is slightly mellower and sweeter.

• Our countneck clams are harvested along the Atlantic coast from Maine to New York and delivered live.
• Countneck clam stocks aren't depleted or experiencing overfishing.
• Pre-purged for your convenience, but we still recommend a brief 30-minute purge to expel any potential remaining grit.
• Countneck clams are excellent served raw.
• Cherrystone, topneck, littleneck, and countneck clams are all the same species of Atlantic hard shells or quahogs. The name refers to the size.
• The colorful shells were once highly valued and used as currency for Native Americans.

How do gift subscriptions work?

1. Fill out the recipient information fields. Double check the recipient's email address. This cannot be changed once the order is placed.
2. Select the date you want the email to be sent to the recipient and click "Add to Cart" button. This is the date the recipient will be notified about the gift, they will get to choose the delivery date and enter their shipping address at this time.
3. Check out and that's all you have to do! We'll take it from there. Not sure if this is the perfect gift? No problem, the recipient can select a different item of equal or lesser value when they schedule their shipment.
