King mackerel are the largest of the mackerel family and have a slender shape and beautiful, colorful skin. King mackerel are a bit firmer and meatier than Boston or Spanish mackerel. While king mackerel are found in the Caribbean and all the way down to Brazil, ours come from the USA. If you like stronger flavored, high oil content fish like sardines or bluefish, try our king mackerel.
