Whiting have whiskers when young, but lose them as adults.
We like to coat whole Whiting in breadcrumbs, flour or batter and fry it until it’s crisp and golden. It is also excellent grilled, sautéed in butter, or poached in white wine with onions and parsley and served with vermicelli.
Whiting is a high protein source of healthful Omega-3 fatty acids. It also contains Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Potassium, as well as Vitamins A, B and D.
