This marinade harmoniously balances sweet, savory, and spicy notes for an Asian-inspired meal that's perfect for both weeknight dinners and dinner parties. Serve the halibut over rice or spoon the marinade over veggies and roast them in the oven for a side dish with the same great flavor!
In a large bowl, whisk together shoyu, Gochujang, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and salt to create the marinade. Add the halibut portions to the bowl, ensuring they are well-coated, and allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the halibut portions from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill the portions for about 3 minutes per side or until they are opaque and easily flake with a fork.
Once the halibut is cooked through, transfer it to a serving plate and garnish with thinly sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
