Ingredients

4 halibut portions
¼ cup shoyu (or soy sauce)
2 Tablespoons rice vinegar
2 Tablespoons sesame oil
1 Tablespoon Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
1 Tablespoon honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon grated ginger
½ teaspoon kosher salt
2 Tablespoons thinly sliced green onions (for garnish)
1 Tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions

In a large bowl, whisk together shoyu, Gochujang, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and salt to create the marinade. Add the halibut portions to the bowl, ensuring they are well-coated, and allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the halibut portions from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill the portions for about 3 minutes per side or until they are opaque and easily flake with a fork.
Once the halibut is cooked through, transfer it to a serving plate and garnish with thinly sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
