Our Royal Miyagi oysters are smooth and creamy, with a mild, sweet kiwi-like flavor, and mild brine. These beautiful purple and white shelled beauties are cultivated using the 2-part suspension line to beach method. They are taken from the line and placed into the beach cultured environment during their last 6 months before harvesting. The natural wave action results in a firm texture and lovely savory finish.
- Our Royal Miyagi oysters are farmed and harvested at the foot of the Olympic Mountain range in the Puget Sound.
- Our delicious Royal Miyagi oysters are delivered live, you can't get any fresher than that.
- These are a West Coast oyster. While it depends on the variety, West Coast oysters are typically a bit smaller, with a deeper cup than East Coast oysters. They have a slightly sweeter taste, with a subtle mineral flavor, as compared to a more briny, savory flavor of East Coast oysters. The best way to find your favorite is to try a few of each.
- The natural juice inside raw oysters is called liquor.
