Our PEI, or Prince Edward Island, mussels are plump and tender with the sweet, briny flavor of the ocean. Easily the most popular mussel in North America, it has an ink black shell, and the flesh ranges from ivory (males) to pale coral (females). These deliciously sweet mussels are great for a cookout or dinner party.

- Before cooking, check that all the mussels are closed, scrub well with a stiff brush under cold running water to remove any barnacles. After cooking, discard any shells that have not opened up.
