With a thinner, darker shell and somewhat denser and more tender meat than their cold-water cousins, warm water Dominican Republic Lobster Tails are popular for their distinctive and mild sweetness. These hefty tails are freshly-frozen for optimum flavor. Freshly-frozen, this selection averages 20-24 oz each.
Lobsters can actually grow up to four feet long and weigh as much as 40 pounds!
Thaw these large tails in your refrigerator overnight. Use sharp kitchen shears to cut the top side of the shell lengthwise, lift the meat out and lay it “piggyback” on top of its shell. Then broil or bake until the meat is opaque and firm. Serve with drawn butter for a centerpiece entrée!
Lobster lovers will be happy to know that it is a good source of Vitamin B12, Pantothenic Acid and Phosphorus, and a very good source of protein, Zinc, Copper and Selenium.
