Also known as Patagonian toothfish, Chilean sea bass are prized for their snow white flesh. With a smooth, buttery flavor and large flakes, our wild Chilean sea bass portions are a favorite with the world’s leading chefs but easy to enjoy at home. Another reason why we love Chilean sea bass so much? Their high oil content makes them very versatile and difficult to overcook.

  • Our Chilean sea bass is frozen on the boat to maximize freshness.
  • Chilean sea bass can live up to 200 years old and weigh over 200 lbs.
  • Vessel Monitoring Systems are used to track boats and transmit their catch data to the governing bodies as well as Convention for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources.

Product Questions

If products thaw in cold temperatures they can be refrozen but if products thaw in warm temperatures (>40°F) they should not be refrozen. In other words, it’s safe to refreeze seafood that has thawed in a refrigerator but not seafood that has thawed under cold water. This applies for both raw and cooked. In addition, you should not refreeze products that are thawed while in a vacuum sealed container and it’s important to note that you may notice some quality differences after refreezing a product.
